How many inches of snow before you plow in St. Louis?
The trigger is set in the service agreement. Commercial sites commonly use 1-inch or 2-inch triggers depending on risk and operating needs. Standard residential routes commonly use a 2-inch qualifying snowfall trigger.
Do you wait until snow stops before plowing?
Not on sites that need access during the storm. Long events can receive open-up passes followed by final clearing. Route timing depends on the contracted trigger and property priority.
Does plowing include salt?
Not automatically. Plowing and ice control solve different problems, so salt or treated deicer should be explicitly included in the scope when the property needs it.
